Ten portraits of people who make the Amsterdam queer club, De Trut, what it is: a safe haven, an activist engine, and a cultural meeting place.

In honor of the 40th anniversary of De Trut and World Pride Amsterdam, this documentary follows ten people who are connected in various ways to the iconic Amsterdam queer club. Volunteers, visitors, and recipients of support from the Trutfonds tell how De Trut has influenced their lives. The film shows how a non-commercial party grew into a safe place and an activist force within the queer community, from the eighties to the present day.
