With spoken word by Zaïre Krieger & Geoffrey van der Ven and drag by Queen Heisa Jynx.

What's more fun than bingo? A Drag Bingo with spoken word, literary prizes, food, music, and a hefty dose of glitter, humor, and chaos. Between bingo cards, you'll listen to performances by spoken word artists Zaïre Krieger and Geoffrey van der Ven, who will take you on a journey through personal stories, sharp observations, and rhythmic narratives. The afternoon is hosted by the colorful Queen Heisa Jynx, who elevates the bingo to a higher level with flair, humor, and spectacular presence.

Come watch, listen, laugh, and win. Bingo has never been so fabulous. The library is open!

Zaïre Krieger

Zaïre Krieger is a poet, spoken word artist, activist, journalist, and translator. In 2019, she received a SPOKEN Award as 'one of the most inspiring word artists of the moment.' Krieger's work calls for justice and love. In 2020, she co-organized the Black Lives Matter protest in Rotterdam. Her performances are layered, rhythmic, and deeply felt. She translated the poem 'The Hill We Climb,' which Amanda Gorman recited during Joe Biden's inauguration. The bilingual edition was released in 2022.

Geoffrey van der Ven

Geoffrey van der Ven is a spoken word artist and theater maker with a sharp, critical, and activist voice. In his work, rooted in queer and BIPOC identity, he tells the stories that have remained unheard for too long. With his solo performance 'Het is niet nieuw' (It's not new), he brings attention to the queer history of Africa. He previously won the Poet of the Year Award at the Queer & Feminist Poetry Awards and has performed on stages such as the Nieuwe Luxor Theater, Rotterdam Pride, and Museumnacht. He is currently working on his second solo project, 'Anders ik wel…' (Otherwise, I will…), about queer shame.

Heisa Jynx

Heisa Jynx is a drag queen who loves color, glitter, and especially a lot of silliness. With her colorful outfits, she brings a smile to everyone's face. She is a DJ, a performer, and can often be found in clubs, theaters, and occasionally even on television. Heisa shows that everyone can be themselves, and that being a little crazy is actually a lot of fun.
