Sapphic Chaos: One Night Only with Amy Spalding

(SPOKEN IN ENGLISH) A hot new bombshell has entered the Amsterdam Masseria, and her name is none other than the legend, the icon: Amy Spalding. The People's Princess from I Kissed A Girl is coming to Amsterdam for WorldPride for an exclusive one-night-only evening, written and hosted by Annefleur Schipper and Vera Siemons of the award-winning podcast Lesbian League.

During this exclusive WorldPride event, we dive into the lesbian renaissance of recent years and talk about everything related to queer representation. From Rosalía's current status as our bisexual lord and saviour, to the chokehold Reneé Rapp has on all of us, the eternal teasing of a Killing Eve comeback, the collective queer panic caused by the WNBA players, the fantastic sapphic on-screen moments that Hacks continues to give us, and of course, the very last (boo!) season of I Kissed A Girl — with first-hand reviews, inside tea, and unfiltered opinions from Amy Spalding herself. We're not getting any closer to a reunion than this, girls.

But that's not all. Amy recently released her brand new book The Dykonic Handbook: a cheerful, uncompromisingly queer guide to sapphic life, love, and culture. We will talk with her about the writing process, the stories behind the book, and how to embrace your inner dykonic self. Amy Spalding

Amy Spalding broke through as the audience favorite of the groundbreaking BBC queer reality series I Kissed A Girl, which premiered in May 2024 and has since been picked up by Hulu for the American market. Since then, she has built an almost cult-like fanbase and is seen by outlets like Dazed as one of the figureheads of the Lesbian Renaissance.

Amy has collaborated with brands such as Dazed Beauty, Jean Paul Gaultier, Vinted, NYX, and Sephora, and is the founder of SLT Studios, a jewelry brand best known for the iconic Dyke Rings. This brand has also achieved cult status and has been spotted on celebrities like Cara Delevingne, Reneé Rapp, and girl in red.

As if that weren't enough, Amy will soon be seen in Notice Me, a short film produced by Lena Dunham.

Annefleur Schipper is a journalist, columnist, TV, and podcast maker with expertise at the intersection of (pop) culture, film, music, and society. She creates the award-winning podcast De Lesbische Liga (NTR/3FM) and NOOD (Corti), various online interview series like De Reünie and Queer Film Confessions, hosted the daily talk show Op De Matrix (BNNVARA) and Starwash (NTR) around 3FM Serious Request, and regularly appears on various talk shows and television programs as a culture and film journalist.

Vera Siemons is a DJ on the radio and the dance floor. On Saturday and Sunday evenings, she can be heard on NPO 3FM with 'Vera On Track', featuring the best new releases, live music, and festival culture. She has interviewed artists like Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, PinkPantheress, Djo, and Arctic Monkeys. For NTR, she presents the TV broadcasts of Pinkpop and ESNS and co-creates the podcast 'Lesbische Liga' with Annefleur Schipper. As a DJ, she plays at festivals like Lowlands and Best Kept Secret and alternative club nights such as Diep In De Groef in EKKO. With her queer pop party ICONIC, she can be found in pop venues and at pride festivals throughout the Netherlands.
