For her upcoming album ‘Swallow!’, the British artist writes about falling in love, infusing her familiar electronic productions with a fresh sense of indie melodies.

On her 2022 debut ‘Nymph’, she combined quirky club beats with catchy pophooks. This saw Shygirl rise from the electronic underground to become an established name in the pop world, with collaborations with the likes of Charli XCX and Björk. On ‘Swallow!’, she writes about how love can change your outlook on the whole world. She describes the record as a message in a bottle and is very curious to see who picks up her message.

Shygirl publicly identifies as queer and is widely embraced as a modern icon within the queer and club-adjacent music scenes. Her forward-thinking club pop, explicit sex-positive themes, and massive following among "the girls and the gays" make her shows a staple of queer interest.
