Experience a performance by the golden duo: Arooj Aftab, one of today's most exciting and in-demand vocalists, and Daniel Wohl, an adventurous composer. This performance will feature both existing and new work from the pair.

Arooj Aftab will sing songs from her albums Night Reign and Vulture Prince, alongside classical compositions she co-wrote with Daniel Wohl. They will be accompanied by the groundbreaking London Contemporary Orchestra.

The duo's first collaboration in 2022, the impressive Rise, Again, merged diverse musical worlds into a powerful social and emotional narrative. Together, Wohl and Aftab combine innovative musical techniques with deep emotional layering.

A Queer, Genre-Defying Artist

Arooj Aftab is a Grammy-winning, Brooklyn-based Pakistani singer and composer who identifies as queer. Her genre-defying music often incorporates themes of nonconformity, desire, and fluid identity, blending ancient South Asian traditions like ghazals with contemporary jazz. Recognized as a prominent queer Muslim icon, Aftab infuses her work with a "no roots, no rules" philosophy, creating a unique and compelling sound that challenges conventional definitions.
