Join Martin Luttikholt for a city walk along former queer nightlife spots from the 70s and 80s in Tilburg. Where did queers go out back then if they were gay or lesbian? Where do you encounter queer history in Tilburg? The walk is co-organized by the Regional Archive Tilburg and COC Tilburg-Breda and surroundings.
The walk starts at the Regional Archive Tilburg, where a small collection of documents is on display, showing how little of the LGBTI+ history in Tilburg and its surroundings has been preserved. Preservation is important, because no documents, no history. Afterwards, Martin will lead the participants past cafes, meeting places, and the first building of the COC from that time. There is also an important story about the city's queer history to be told at the cemetery on Bredase Weg.
