The winners of the 14th annual Queerties Awards were announced Tuesday evening in Los Angeles, with actor Jonathan Bailey and the television drama "Heated Rivalry" taking home some of the night's most significant honours. The awards, presented by the LGBTQ+ publication Queerty, are determined by public vote, reflecting the tastes and passions of the wider community.
Jonathan Bailey, known for his roles in "Bridgerton" and "Fellow Travelers," was presented with the 'Badass' award, the ceremony's top individual prize. The popular hockey romance series "Heated Rivalry" secured the award for Best TV Drama, and its star, François Arnaud, also won for Best TV Performance.
In the music and film categories, Lady Gaga's track "Abracadabra" was voted Best Anthem. Cynthia Erivo received two awards, earning recognition for Best Film Performance for her role in "Wicked: For Good" and for Best Read for her memoir, "Simply More."
The ceremony, hosted by drag artist Trixie Mattel, also presented special honours to several influential figures. Comedian and actress Margaret Cho received the Icon Award, Megan Stalter was given the Vanguard Award, and comedian Mae Martin was recognised with the Groundbreaker Award.
