Fatima, 17, the youngest of three daughters, cautiously seeks her own path, struggling with her attraction to women and her loyalty to her caring, religious family. She begins her studies in Paris, dates, makes friends, and explores a whole new world, while simultaneously facing a heartbreaking dilemma: how can you stay true to yourself when it seems impossible to reconcile the different aspects of your identity?
The film has already won many awards, including the Queer Palm at Cannes, where lead actress Nadia Melliti also won the award for Best Actress.
