On September 29, 2026, British singer-songwriter Alison Moyet, known from the synth-pop duo Yazoo and her successful solo career, will return to the Carré stage after 39 years.
The unique and only concert in the Netherlands will feature songs from Yazoo's repertoire and a selection from her acclaimed solo electronic albums The Minutes and Other.
Although a handful of Yazoo hits are staples in Alison's live sets, much of the band's material has rarely been performed outside their two brief tours (their breakthrough in 1982 and their reunion Reconnected in 2008). This is a unique opportunity to hear live songs that propelled their phenomenal but short-lived career, including the groundbreaking album Upstairs At Eric's (platinum in both the UK and the US) and their farewell album You And Me Both.
Additionally, the tour will also feature a selection of songs from Alison's acclaimed solo LPs The Minutes and Other. Both albums, produced by and largely written in collaboration with Guy Sigsworth, were enthusiastically received as a triumphant creative return to electronica, making them a perfect fit for this tour.
Alison says: “Many years touring the same pool of songs and I am keen for a palate refresher. Specifying which years I will be fishing from too, I think is a grand way to serve pot luck for specific tastes. No bones…”
Alison Moyet is one of the most remarkable artists of her generation. Her mix of powerful vocals, pop hooks, and sharp lyrics has brought her phenomenal success for over four decades. With Yazoo and her solo career, she has three number 1 albums in the UK and another five top 10 albums to her name, including an 8th place for her most recent album, Key, and a total of nine top 10 singles. She has been awarded three BRIT Awards, the Icon Award at the Silver Clef Awards, a BASCA Gold Badge from The Ivors Academy, and a Grammy nomination.
Alison says: “Live work really matters to me. I love the physical feeling that singing gives me. It’s totally primal and euphoric. On stage, I remember how to connect with myself.”
