Everyone is welcome to the Pride Church Service with the theme 'Unite!'. The service features officiant Bishop Gene Robinson from the United States and a unique, worldwide scratch choir.
Pride Church Service
Welcome to the Pride Church Service, a fixture for more than fifteen years. This year’s theme is ‘Unite!’, chosen to convey movement and dynamism — because ‘unity’ does not mean ‘uniformity’, but is always evolving, like a kaleidoscope that reveals new colours and patterns in which everyone who wishes to join can find recognition and connection.
The preacher this year is American Bishop Gene Robinson, who 25 years ago became the first openly gay bishop within the worldwide family of Anglican churches. A true icon!
The service is prepared by a team of involved LHBtIQa+ people and members of the Keizersgrachtkerk congregation, led by Wielie Elhorst, the LHBtIQa+ minister of the Protestant Church Amsterdam.
