For almost ten years, there has been more mystery than certainty surrounding the Australian artist Spike Fuck.
In 2015, he emerged on Melbourne’s alternative music scene with ‘The Smackwave EP’, on which he explored themes such as drug use, gender identity, religion and existential doubt through melancholic pop-rock. His unexpected success took him from illegal warehouse parties to fashion shows and magazine features, but just as he was on the verge of a breakthrough, he suddenly disappeared.
After four years of silence, Spike Fuck returned in 2024: sober, clear-headed and with a new line-up. No longer just using a backing track, but as the frontman of a rotating live band. Together, they move between 1970s glam rock, soul and rock ’n’ roll, all carried by his poetic voice.
