For everyone who likes to walk on the edge: Walk the Line. An evening where country doesn't stay neatly within the lines and Americana, folk, indie, rock, and bluegrass happily roam together. From melancholic singer-songwriters and gritty guitar songs to banjos, fiddles, punky roots, and a floor full of line dancers. Put on your boots, brace yourself, and Walk the Line!
Villagerrr is the project of American songwriter Mark Scott. On his fifth album, Carousel, he effortlessly moves from slowcore and shoegaze to log-cabin folk and sprawling indie rock. Big, melancholic songs for empty highways and long drives, where vulnerability, doubt, and a longing for something genuine come together. Scott makes music that feels both intimate and grand: sometimes small enough to hear every detail, sometimes like an approaching storm that takes over the entire landscape.
With Carousel, Scott builds on the collaboration that began with his previous record, Tear Your Heart Out (2024), which led to tours with Real Estate, Greg Freeman, and Momma. The new album critically examines the world around us but primarily shows what can emerge when you let your guard down and let others in.
Mail for Sil proves that modern Americana and folk can still sound innovative. Their songs are catchy, lush, and tough, yet tender and full of space. Storytelling is central, with lyrics that explore the tension between opposites: homesickness and belonging, isolation and connection, self-sabotage and healing. For fans of Karen Dalton, Fairport Convention, Buck Meek, Laura Marling, and Sharon Van Etten.
After sold-out shows with artists like Coos, FEMI, and Jacob Drescher during their triple-bill folk tour, Mail for Sil is not standing still. Three brand-new singles will be released soon. Expect Americana with a unique character, strong melodies, and songs that linger somewhere between familiar and elusive.
Them Peckin’ Boys have become an indispensable part of the Haarlem music scene. What started as a quartet aiming to stay as close as possible to the roots of country and bluegrass has grown into a distinctive roots machine where rock, punk, ska, and a touch of psychedelia have also found their place. Banjos, guitars, crystal-clear harmonies, and a solid original repertoire form the foundation.
The result is music made for moving. A well-oiled band that can just as easily play a traditional bluegrass lick as a heavy dose of rock 'n' roll. Expect high energy, tight vocal harmonies, and plenty of room to stretch the boundaries of country and roots.
LEADBEATERS are an Amsterdam-based string band that is actually way too rock 'n' roll for a folky outfit. Their folky-punky mixed grill consists of American traditionals, old-time, rhythm & blues, bluegrass, Cajun, and a hint of cumbia. Fiddle, guitar, mandolin, double bass, and vocal harmonies form the basis, but banjo, slide guitar, spoons, harp, and washboard can just as easily appear.
The result is a danceable, unpredictable ode to the hopeless, freeloaders, troublemakers, and other misfits. Like-minded musicians regularly join in to pick, pluck, and saw, ensuring no performance is the same. Their debut album Juice In The Crank was released on June 19, 2026. Come and see.
Time to actually put on those boots. Justin is a gay non-binary line-dancing teacher from STOMP, a queer line-dance party from Amsterdam. Over the past year, they have gotten many audiences moving with classic country dances mixed with today's favorite tracks.
No experience needed, just a bit of courage. So dust off your boots, shake that ass, and get ready to STOMP.
