A performance about the Transgender Act of 1985-2014

From 1985, as a trans person, you could officially change your gender, thanks to the Transgender Act, which was finally passed after years of debate. But the law imposed major conditions, including the mandatory sterilization of trans people.

In WET, 3 people involved perform. They take us into their story and that of 10 others, through audio recordings. The stories intertwine and form an image of a rock-solid community that, by supporting each other, has built a life for themselves, in defiance of an ice-cold law.

WILD Producties is a theatre company where everyone involved is trans and/or genderqueer.
