Transgender Evening is a monthly social gathering organized by Transgenders Amsterdam. Meet other transgender people, chat, and exchange experiences over a cup of coffee or a drink.
Everyone is welcome, whether you have been transgender for years or are just exploring. There is no dress code and no entry fee.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by an experienced host who can introduce you to others. You can come however you like - as your other self or in your regular clothes if you want to first see how things go.
Founded in 1970, Transgenders Amsterdam is the oldest transgender organization in the Netherlands, dedicated to promoting the emancipation and social acceptance of transgender individuals. The group distinguishes itself through the "Amsterdam Model," which focuses on visibility and integration by meeting openly in regular public cafés in the Jordaan district. Over the decades, the organization has evolved from a formal association into an informal, volunteer-led community that encourages people to be proud and visible in society. Today, after more than 55 years, the group continues to provide a safe haven and a monthly meeting place where newcomers and regulars alike can find support and connection.
