Every last Monday of the month, Café The Queen's Head transforms into a spectacular mini-drag race. During Showdown Monday, the fabulous American queen Skyla Versai hosts an energetic talent hunt for Amsterdam's thriving drag scene.

Up to eight performers enter the ring to compete for the coveted title of Queen of the Month and a cash prize. The power lies entirely in your hands: the winner is chosen by the audience, meaning whoever receives the loudest cheers takes the crown. Performers have total creative freedom, so expect anything from tight lipsyncs and live vocals to burlesque.

This is more than just a show; it is a launchpad. Bookers from other major drag venues frequently come here to scout for fresh faces. Grab a drink at Zeedijk 20 and spot the next big thing in drag before she breaks through to the mainstream!
