Do you sense a quiet call to reconnect with a deeper meaning in your life?
In a world full of expectations, it’s easy to slip into autopilot. We adapt, perform, and meet external demands—often at the cost of losing touch with what we genuinely need, want and get excited by.
This workshop offers a space to slow down and reconnect with your inner compass. Through movement, reflection, and embodied exploration, you are invited to turn toward the subtler undercurrents of desire, feeling, and intuition that so often go unheard, while being held in the presence of others on a similar path.
Drawing on elements of Authentic Movement and the Tamalpa Life/Art Process®, we explore how to listen to the wisdom of the body and learn to trust its messages—without judgment or expectation. Central to this practice is the experience of moving and being seen, of witnessing and being witnessed, allowing insight and meaning to unfold in a shared, respectful space.
This is an invitation to cultivate honesty with yourself, to embody what feels true, and to grow toward a life lived with greater integrity, presence, and aliveness—supported by the collective field we create together.
No experience in dance or art is needed - just curiosity and a willingness to explore!
AUTHENTIC MOVEMENT, developed by Mary Starks Whitehouse, Janet Adler and Joan Chodorow and widely used in dance therapy settings, is a somatic practice of tuning inward and letting the body lead. It invites movement to emerge from sensation, impulse, or stillness rather than instruction or performance. Through embodied listening and presence, the body becomes a guide.
THE TAMALPA LIFE-ART PROCESS®, developed by dance expression pioneers Anna and Daria Halprin, is an embodied creative practice that integrates movement, drawing, writing, and dialogue as pathways for inner listening. Through this process, the body becomes a source of guidance, inviting you to tap into its natural intelligence and the imagination’s power to transform.
JOHNNY SCHOOFS is a somatic movement coach, bodywork practitioner and teacher devoted to the art of embodied transformation. With a rich background in contemporary dance, somatics and expressive arts therapy, his work bridges the worlds of the performing arts and personal development. Johnny’s practice is grounded in the belief that the body holds truth — and that through movement and attention, we can access deeper layers of who we are. Drawing on practices such as dance improvisation, the Life/Art Process®, the Feldenkrais Method and Reiki, he creates spaces where individuals can reconnect to their bodies, bring expression to their emotional life, and rediscover their innate creativity. As an experienced performer and educator, Johnny teaches at leading dance academies, and facilitates public workshops and 1:1 sessions focused on embodiment, emotional expression, and authentic connection. His teaching is rooted in care, depth, and honesty—welcoming both light and shadow as vital parts of the human experience. Whether in the studio, or a private session, Johnny’s work is an invitation to slow down, meet yourself as you are, and move from a place of truth rather than performance.
