Kaboom Animation Festival and Queer Film Festival Utrecht (QFFU) are back at it again, joining forces to turn up the volume on queer animation. Get ready to laugh, cry, and feel everything in between at this special screening of 'Here, Queer and Totally Sincere.' This dazzling collection of animated shorts showcases films that don't just push boundaries—they obliterate them, celebrating the fabulous, fierce, and fantastical ways queer identities come to life.

This 75-minute program features ten diverse stories, including several premieres. The lineup includes:

My Name is Lilith (France) – An empowering exploration of trauma through mythology.
You Are Not Part of the Cake (Taiwan/UK) – A twisted portrayal of conflict with a partner's homophobic father.
Canvas (Netherlands, World Premiere) – Two transgender individuals reshape themselves.
The 12 Inch Pianist (US, International Premiere) – A bar joke evolves into a story about self-acceptance.
Mis-Angel (UK, European Premiere) – A transgender love story set at a bus stop.
Light Within (Netherlands) – A nervous young adult confronts bullying trauma on a date.
Placeholder (Ireland, International Premiere) – A transmasc person searching for home, created by an all-trans team.
Conchiglia (Italy, European Premiere) – A boy discovers liberation at the beach.
The Left-Handed Snail (France, Dutch Premiere) – A left-handed snail searches for love.
Tuna Tartare (US, Dutch Premiere) – An expired tuna can and a fake purse embrace their artistic voices in post-apocalyptic LA.
