Bold and unique theater performances by AFABs who play with gender—beyond boundaries and right in the middle of what's in our pants, and what and who we want there. Featuring work by Luca Braak & Mees Elias van Zanten, Isadora Tomasi, SissyPhusss, Jonathan Bonny, and Jonny Tudor.
In a safe yet combative setting, we come together to make space for dealing with medical stress, mental health, and minority stress. Queer therapist Brand Berghouwer and expert-by-experience Jonny Tudor delve into ways to stay sane in a world that can be hostile to trans and queer people, using the Dropping Anchor method. We explore how we can care for ourselves and for each other: practically, collectively, and with care that goes beyond the systems that often fail us. This is a soft landing and a place to build strength. A moment of rest, connection, and collective resilience.
During this workshop, you will work with clay alongside other trans individuals. The central question is: what would your penis look like if anything were possible? There is no right or wrong. It doesn't have to be realistic or perfect. What your penis looks like is entirely up to you. Tip: think in advance about what you want to create (hard, soft, realistic, or pure fantasy). For inspiration, you can check out the Softies Reddit page. NB: After the session, Lucas and Mees will take the works to be fired and glazed. With your permission, your work can become part of their film set and future exhibitions. If not, you can pick up your creation in Amsterdam later.
The afternoon flows together with cocktails and relaxed Sunday afternoon music vibes in the garden. Let the sun caress our beautiful bodies, wander past various trans-information stands, and celebrate the strength, complexity, and beauty of our community together.
