The most colorful parade of the year sails right through the heart of Utrecht! More than 50 boats will travel along the city's canals and the Oudegracht. On these boats are organizations that work year-round for the LGBTQIA+ community — and today they do so loudly, visibly, and proudly.
We're sailing around the canal! More than 50 organizations will once again color Utrecht in all the colors of the rainbow.
The parade sails around the city canal from:
Bartholomeïbrug > Hoog Catharijne > Monicabrug > Viebrug > Hamburgerbrug > Tolsteegbarrière
Please note: The parade can only be watched from the quayside. Private boats are not allowed.
The route is divided into five zones:
The parade passes here first. In this zone, you can enjoy the boat parade with plenty of space.
Around Hoog Catharijne and Roost aan de Singel, there is ample space to watch the boat parade from the side and on the wharves. After the parade, you can head straight to the street party at Roost aan de Singel. A perfect spot to watch the parade.
The heart of Utrecht Pride, with the famous 'pink' cafes Bodytalk and Café Kalff, and close to the street parties. We expect it to be very crowded here. Near Bemuurde Weerd Oostzijde 3, there is a wheelchair-friendly area with accessible toilets.
The heart of the city and the shopping area. You have limited visibility of the canal from the street due to the flower market and the large number of shoppers. The wharves are only accessible to visitors of the hospitality businesses located there.
From the Gaardbrug to Ledig Erf, you'll find the green zone. There is plenty of space here to watch the parade from the side and on the wharves.
