The festival will open on March 18 with the UK/Irish/Dutch co-production PILLION, an eagerly awaited feature film. Closing out the twelve-day event on March 29 will be QUEENS OF THE DEAD, a queer zombie film from the USA.
A Global Selection of Feature Films
The 2026 programme demonstrates a significant international scope, with entries from every continent. Highlights from Asia include South Korea's sharp and tender debut 3670 and the heartwarming lesbian comedy MANO. From Singapore comes A GOOD CHILD, a drama about a drag queen's relationship with his mother.
European cinema is well-represented with films such as AMANTES, a French romantic comedy featuring an all-lesbian cast, and BEARCAVE, a lyrically filmed romance set in the Greek mountains. From Slovenia, the Oscar-entry drama LITTLE TROUBLE GIRLS explores hidden desires at a Catholic school.
The selection from the Americas includes the award-winning Mexican erotic thriller EN EL CAMINO, the historic Panamanian drama BROWN about a Black boxer, and JIMPA, an Australian/Dutch/Finnish co-production described as a warm celebration of queer identity and chosen family.
Focus on Documentaries and Dutch Stories
The documentary section offers compelling non-fiction narratives, with a strong focus on Dutch stories and subjects. DE TRUT, 10 PORTRETTEN offers a look inside the community behind the iconic Amsterdam LGBTQ+ institution. The premiere of F*CK DRUGS will tackle the subject of chemsex, while MIJN BROER is a personal documentary highlighting broader social issues. Also featured is THE DANCER, an inspiring portrait of dancer Ahmad Joudeh, who is now a star in the Dutch ballet world.
International documentaries include A DEEPER LOVE: THE STORY OF MISS PEPPERMINT, chronicling the life of the American activist and drag performer, and STRANGE JOURNEY: THE STORY OF ROCKY HORROR, a tribute to the enduring cult classic.
Short Film Programmes and Premieres
The festival continues its tradition of curating diverse short film programmes. Thirteen collections will be screened, covering themes from the ups and downs of growing up (ARE U READY 2 B HEARTBROKEN) to the complexities of relationships (SON OF A GUN). Of particular local interest is PICTURE THIS, the annual collection of new short films from the Netherlands and Belgium.
The festival will also host the world premiere of NOT BUILT TO LAST, the winner of the 2025 Roze Filmdagen Film Competition, and the Dutch premiere of the short film PAKKA.
