Jury and Audience to Decide Top Honours at Annual LGBTQ+ Film Festival
Roze Filmdagen, Amsterdam's annual LGBTQ+ film festival, has announced the nominations for its 2026 edition. A selection of international and Dutch films will compete for awards decided by both a professional jury and the festival audience. The winners will be revealed at a ceremony on March 29, just before the festival's closing film.
The main festival awards will be determined by a professional jury, with honours in three primary categories: Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, and Best Short Film.
In parallel, festival attendees are encouraged to participate by voting for the Audience Awards, powered by Mastercard. After each screening, volunteers will distribute voting cards, allowing the public to rate features and documentaries or select their favourite from each short film programme. A special Audience Award for Best Dutch Short also includes a nomination for the prestigious international Iris Prize.

This year, the award is presented to director Onir for the Indian film WE ARE FAHEEM AND KARUN. The prize includes a cash amount to support the filmmaker's work and provide an additional platform for their story.
