Organizers for Achterhoek Pride have formally announced a kick-off meeting to begin preparations for the event's fifth anniversary edition, scheduled for 2026. The meeting will take place in Doetinchem on Sunday, May 31, and serves as an invitation for volunteers, partners, and local officials to collaborate on the upcoming celebration.
The gathering marks a significant milestone for the regional Pride, which has become an important fixture for the LGBTQ+ community in the eastern Netherlands. This fifth edition, or 'lustrum', aims to build on previous years by focusing on visibility, connection, and pride throughout the Achterhoek region.
Event Program and Highlights
The afternoon program is designed to be both celebratory and organizational. Attendees can expect a mix of official proceedings and informal networking opportunities. The planned schedule includes:

- A formal address by Alderman Huizinga of Doetinchem.
