The Soundtrack to Amsterdam Pride

Amsterdam's own LGBTQ+ radiostation, Pidi Radio, compiled it's Pride Top 100. The show was aired back in August, but we are featuring it here now as part of qMeet's look back at 2025.

This year's list is a vibrant tapestry of queer culture, weaving together timeless classics with the trailblazing hits of today. From disco divas to modern pop icons, the chart is a testament to the rich musical history of the LGBTQ+ community.

And the Winner Is...

Clinching the coveted number one spot is queer pop's reigning superstar, Chappell Roan, with her breakout anthem "Pink Pony Club." The track has become a global phenomenon, celebrated for its themes of escapism, self-discovery, and finding your place in the queer community.

Following closely behind are two unshakeable pillars of queer music. At number two is Lady Gaga's iconic and everlasting anthem, "Born This Way," a song that continues to be a powerful declaration of self-acceptance. Securing the third spot is the unapologetically queer trailblazer Lil Nas X with his hit "THATS WHAT I WANT," a track that blends pop-rock energy with heartfelt vulnerability.

The Official Top 10 Pride Anthems of 2025

The top of the chart is packed with certified bangers that have graced dance floors and Pride parades for years. Here’s a look at the top 10 voted for by the Pidi Radio community:

  • 1. Chappell Roan - Pink Pony Club
  • 2. Lady Gaga - Born This Way
  • 3. Lil Nas X - THATS WHAT I WANT
  • 4. Loreen - Euphoria
  • 5. Todrick Hall - I Like Boys
  • 6. Dua Lipa ft. Troye Sivan - Physical
  • 7. Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive
  • 8. Madonna - Vogue
  • 9. RuPaul - Supermodel (You Better Work)
  • 10. Beyoncé - CUFF IT

A Celebration of Queer Musical Heritage

Beyond the top 10, the full list serves as a powerful reminder of our community's diverse soundtrack. It features foundational anthems from legends like Sylvester ("You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)"), The Communards ("Don't Leave Me This Way"), and Bronski Beat ("Smalltown Boy").

These classics are celebrated alongside modern queer icons who continue to push boundaries, including Troye Sivan ("Rush"), Kim Petras ("Alone"), and Charli XCX ("Apple"). The strong presence of Eurovision hits, with two-time winner Loreen appearing twice in the list, also highlights the deep connection between the contest and the LGBTQ+ community.
