The Story Behind the Legend
Suzan Seegers won a Musical Award for her leading role in this impressive musical about the life and death of a legend. We meet Edith Piaf (Non je ne regrette rien, La vie en rose) just after she has passed away. Not in Paris with a priest at her bedside, as she would have wished, but in some hamlet. As her husband brings her to Paris, the recently deceased and confused Piaf encounters four characters who have left an indelible mark on her existence: The Angel, The Devil, The Jester, and Death. Through the stories of her four life companions, Piaf relives various important moments in her life to discover who she was and what she leaves behind.
