A Fusion of Classical Music and Ballroom Culture

Black Pride Ball Amsterdam, FOR ALL QUEENS! and Amsterdam Sinfonietta, led by Zelda (Dapaah) Fitzgerald and Candida Thompson, create a unique symbiosis between classical music and ballroom: on the catwalk, from Mahler to I Will Survive. A spectacular ode to the ballroom scene and diversity.

Ballwalkers

The Main Hall of The Concertgebouw will be transformed into a spectacular ball venue. Ballwalkers from the international ballroom scene will compete in categories such as Fem Queen Realness and Runway, showcasing their creativity and personal expression. Watch the best ballwalkers shine with pride and flair on the special catwalk, while a jury evaluates their presentation in various categories and the audience cheers on the participants.

I Will Survive

Classical and contemporary music are combined in a unique clash of styles and time. String orchestra Amsterdam Sinfonietta will perform classical works like Mahler's Adagietto and Fauré's Pavane, as well as ballroom classics like The Ha Dance and Sexy like Sinia, and the ultimate LGBTQIA+ anthem I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor. DJ MikeQ will contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of the ball, and MC Zelda Fitzgerald will elevate the ballwalkers with her verbal acrobatics.
