About the Film: Bearded Mermaid
The drag queens of the cabaret 'The Bearded Mermaid' put on a spectacular show full of song, circus acts, dance, and enchantment – something the quiet town of Dieppe in France has never experienced before. Erwan, a local fisherman, becomes captivated by this colorful world of joy and festivity. Behind the costumes, however, he discovers people struggling with their own demons: lonely, hypersensitive, but determined to make their dream come true. A moving portrait of a small port town where the everyday and the extraordinary are intertwined.
