'Kijk Je Naar Mij' (Are You Looking at Me) will be released on October 2nd and is the pop singer's second album. On this record, Froukje (25) shifts her perspective. Where her debut looked inward, this album looks outward: at the world, at love in all its forms, and at the wondrous relationship with her own life as an artist. What is it like to be the entertainer who wants everyone to watch, and at the same time to long for the silence behind the stage, without a costume, without all those eyes?

She wrote the album entirely herself and also produced most of it on her own. She finished it together with 22Ghosts. Personal and polished at the same time - two things that rarely get in each other's way with Froukje. Singles like ‘Iedereen Gaat Vreemd’ (Everyone Cheats) and ‘Jaar Na Jaar’ (Year After Year) already give an idea: fresh, self-confident, and with the ease of someone who knows what she's doing.

Her debut ‘Noodzakelijk Verdriet’ (Necessary Sadness) placed her directly at the top of the Dutch music scene. Number 1 in the Netherlands and Belgium, the most-streamed Dutch album of 2024, and an Edison for Best Album.

‘Kijk Je Naar Mij?’ is the album of an artist who continues to push her own boundaries, remaining the most distinctive voice in Dutch-language pop music.
