Songwriters Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak form @, an avant-garde songwriting project originating from the East Coast D.I.Y. music scene. Although they initially collaborated remotely, without ever having played live or even sung together in the same room, their debut album Mind Palace Music unexpectedly reached a large audience via the internet. In the following years, @ grew into an impressive live band, with Victoria and Stone developing a unique musical chemistry, both on and off stage.
With Autosmile, their first album for 4AD, @ reinvents psychedelic folk as a distinctly contemporary art form. From a working method where each writes songs separately and then complements the other's compositions, an album emerged that balances beauty and pain, darkness and playfulness. With adventurous arrangements and inventive songwriting, @ explores the inner and outer world on Autosmile with curiosity, wonder, and without fear of the dramatic or the comical.

Ellie O’Neill is an Irish singer-songwriter from County Meath who, with her music, paints a rich and tender landscape around intimacy, loss, friendship, and queer identity. Primarily using her voice and acoustic guitar, she moves between meditative, repetitive songs and raw, powerful grunge-like confessions. Her work is not about one grand revelation but unfolds as a collection of memories and dreams, in which she explores what should be kept and what can be let go.
O’Neill weaves personal experiences with dreamy and sometimes esoteric symbolism, where repetition becomes a form of truth-telling and love and grief constantly coexist. Her music also reflects her personal discovery of her queer identity during a period of major societal changes in Ireland, including the legalization of same-sex marriage and the repeal of the abortion ban. Many of her lyrics are directly based on memories and conversations from her life, with songwriting becoming a way for her to reclaim her own story.
In recent years, she has toured extensively throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom, both solo and with other artists, and has performed at festivals and venues such as Pitchfork London, Other Voices, End of the Road, and Green Man. She has also supported Adrianne Lenker and John Francis Flynn. O’Neill now lives in Dublin, where she finds inspiration in, among other things, the poetry of Minnie Bruce Pratt, laughter, and swimming in the sea. Her debut album Time of Fallow was released on March 20th.
