With this festival, we invite you into a space of silence—a space for breathing, processing, and digesting the dynamics of rope and bondage. As a space, we also wish to listen to the unspoken, the unseen, and the unattended.
The day will be filled with workshops, a silent rope jam, and an evening of performances. The workshop givers and performers will be announced soon through social media.
We facilitate cross-cultural and transpersonal spaces. Come with a recognition that everybody has different bodies, backgrounds, and belief systems. Consent is relational and happens in the here and now. Always ask, and do not assume.
During the festival, there will be space-holding people to reach out to if any discomfort happens. Please don’t wait; get to us in time so we can handle it while you are still there, as discreetly as possible according to your wishes.
Ropes will be provided during the festival; however, if you have your own ropes, please bring them. Two to three 8-metre ropes will be enough for the workshops. You can use our ropes or your own during the free tying jam.
Coming without a partner is fine. You will be matched with someone else coming alone in the workshops, and participants are encouraged to switch roles (i.e., to tie and be tied).
This festival is our attempt to increase the visibility of queer/kinky programming in Nieuw-West. We keep a certain number of community tickets for neighborhood queers at discounted prices. If you cannot afford a ticket and want to be in the space, please write to us at aysenur[@]lolalieven.nl with a short motivation, and we will find possibilities.
Tickets will only be reimbursed if cancelled no later than one week before the start of the festival. After that, tickets may be resold at the same or lower price than bought for.
