Broadway Baby
Suzy and Sally want to become famous, but first, they must escape the coffee shop where they work. When they come across an audition call for a Broadway show, they are completely swept away by the madness of their fantasies of fame and fortune.
Drag Me Home
An attic performer lived in Sytze's house. But who was this mysterious predecessor? And what was he doing in the attic? With a mix of text-based theater, drag performance, and exhilarating lip-syncs, Sytze goes on a search. A journey that leads back to the nineties, the time of the RoXY and pounding disco beats, and ultimately - perhaps - back home. Drag Me Home premiered in March 2025 at the Café Theater Festival in Utrecht and won the audience award there.
About the Makers
OOPSIE DAISY is a collective consisting of Sasha Kurensky, Andrea Vass, and Paulien Foest. After meeting at the Maastricht Theatre Academy, they found common ground in their love for big dreams about cowboys, vampires, and Broadway stars. They try to capture the magic of these fantasy worlds in their performances, while also making them human. Broadway Baby is OOPSIE DAISY's first self-written musical show.
Sytze Bouma (1996, Amsterdam) graduated from the Arnhem Theatre School in 2024. He enjoys working with queer narratives in a versatile performance style where physical performance, acting, and self-written texts reinforce each other. Drag Me Home is Sytze's debut as an independent theater maker.
