Sun, sea, and... an existential crisis.
In Adam & Evert, two lovers escape to a luxury resort on an exotic island to relax together. But while they indulge in cocktails and buffets, their doubts and unspoken frustrations also take a seat on the sunbed. And just when they think they can turn the tide, ex-relationship therapist Linda unexpectedly steps into their vacation – with her own chaotic love lessons and unsolicited advice.
What follows is a tragicomic rollercoaster full of sharp humor, recognizable arguments, and intimate moments that sometimes come too close. Adam & Evert balances between love and loss, humor and pain, and shows how we can sometimes completely lose ourselves (and each other) – and perhaps find our way back.
Directed by Harm Duco Schut, written by Tjeerd Posthuma, and starring Rian Gerritsen, Leendert de Ridder, and Joji Kyle Na, this performance brings a mix of humor, emotion, and exotic chaos to the theater.
