Karin Bloemen - Renaissance 2.0

After the extensive theater celebration of her 40th anniversary in 2023, Karin made a special trip to the south of Chile in early 2024; a very sparsely populated area with great natural beauty. It became an overwhelming experience, in which it seemed as if she had been taken back in time about fifty years with a time machine; not stressed people living on their mobile phones everywhere, but people who have time and have real conversations with each other.

That intense feeling of a more natural pace of life, which we have long since lost here, acted as a huge mirror and brought her to the simple conclusion: we need a new renaissance! Just as the Renaissance after the dark Middle Ages drew its inspiration from the time of the Greeks and Romans, we now need inspiration from the past again to struggle out of this dark time. And fifty years ago just happens to be the 70s; freedom, creativity, and the most fantastic music!

In this performance, Karin takes you - in her own unique, humorous way - in her time machine, to enjoy the time before the computer for a while; back to the human scale. Together with her fantastic four-man band, she provides an inspiring performance that arms the audience against the challenges of these times and brings them back to the 21st century with a big smile on their face.
