10:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Canal Boat Parade: Decorated boats sail through the city center. Expect lively music, a celebratory atmosphere, Amsterdam folk singers, and colorful drag queens.
All day & evening | City Center Street Party: After the parade, the celebrations continue across the city's main squares. The streets fill with live music stages, outdoor market stalls, and busy cafe terraces showcasing a welcoming, festive vibe.
The Boat Parade Route
The fleet travels along Meppel's historic canals, giving spectators excellent vantage points from the waterfront:
Start: Sluisgracht (where the fleet enters via the canal locks)
Mid-route: Passing along the Stoombootkade over to the Prinsengracht
End point: Gasgracht (where the boats finally dock)
