This bilingual anthology brings together the voices of LGBTQ+ poets and spoken word artists living in the Netherlands to celebrate queer joy, gender euphoria, softness, pleasure, pride, and the radical power of imagining ourselves beyond survival.

Too often, queer stories are expected to center pain, struggle, or loss. While those experiences matter, they are not the whole story. Queer life is also friendship. It is tenderness. It is dancing in kitchens. It is desire. It is finding language for yourself. It is becoming. Through poetry, this collection invites us to celebrate the beauty, resilience, and limitless possibilities of queer existence.

The evening opens with a curated showcase featuring poets published in the anthology, followed by a short break and an open mic where audience members are invited to share their own work. Whether you're coming to listen, perform, or simply connect with others, this is an evening to celebrate queer voices and the power of poetry to bring people together.

About the Anthology

Queer & Feminist Poetry Anthology Vol. II: Queer Joy & Gender Euphoria Edition is a bilingual publication (Dutch and English) featuring more than 50 LGBTQ+ poets and spoken word artists living in the Netherlands. This edition centers queer joy, gender euphoria, pleasure, pride, softness, resistance through happiness, and collective imagination.
