Feel like watching a movie? Then come to the film night by 030mmfilm, an initiative of the Art & Economics program at HKU. Students from the program organize film nights to give emerging makers from Utrecht or HKU a platform to screen their films. As part of the Utrecht Queer Culture Festival, this edition's theme is 'Connection'. 030mmfilm takes you into the world of queerness with stories about love, the body, sexuality, and identity. Is it really a given that we can be who we want to be? That we can fall in love with whomever we want to fall in love with? The films and animations in this edition explore these questions, each from a different perspective.

The films being shown are:

Walk me home - by Maart Rees
Raven and Moos meet at a party and take a mutual friend home who is a bit too drunk. They wander through the streets of Utrecht, walking each other back and forth, not wanting the night to end.
Canvas - by Max van Wijgerden
Two transgender individuals reshape themselves, using creative means to create bodies that feel right for them.
Mensenkind (Human Child) - by Alaric
While looking through photos with her family, Lena comes face to face with her youth and struggles to recognize herself.
Latent - by Yuan Schoonhoven and Mirthe Salemink
Where invisibility and authenticity meet. Maria and Kathelijne share a close, loving bond. One that can only exist in the shaded streams and tall grasses of nature, beyond the confines of their small society. When the lines between the two worlds blur and the nature of their relationship is exposed, it is not their love but their freedom that is put to the test.
Born in heels - by Indra Eliens, Robin Swinkels, Vera Pras
A portrait documentary about David, a 24-year-old man from Amsterdam who works as a sex worker, pole dancer, and stripper. In this documentary, we take the viewer into his life. He tells the viewer about his past, how he started this work, and how he became who he is today.
