AMERSFOORT – A monthly social gathering for LGBTQIA+ individuals aged 50 and over is set to return to the city, providing a regular space for community and connection. The event will relaunch at Café Koetje on Sunday, April 5, 2026, and will continue on the first Sunday of every month.
After a period of absence, the initiative aims to re-establish a consistent and welcoming environment where meeting others is the central focus. Organizers have planned a flexible format for the afternoons. Some gatherings will feature a specific program with music or performances, while others will be more informal with activities like a pub quiz or bingo.
Café Koetje, located at Hof 17a, is known for its open and warm ambiance. The event will be hosted by Jessie Kleine and Ella Witjes, in collaboration with café owners Derk Koetje and Jasper Moerdijk. For those interested, a barbecue will also be available at an accessible price.
The revival of this monthly meeting offers a dedicated social opportunity for the 50-plus segment of the LGBTQ+ community in the Amersfoort region.
