The festival is structured into two distinct parts, each with a different focus and location, designed to appeal to a wide range of interests within the community.
Day One: Community and Athletics at Science Park
The festival will begin on Tuesday, June 9, with a sports-focused day at the university's Science Park campus. Organized in collaboration with Pride and Sports, the event is designed to introduce attendees to various LGBTQ+ inclusive sports clubs in Amsterdam. Planned activities include opportunities to try queer boxing and roller derby, providing a practical and engaging way for students and community members to connect through physical activity. Attendance for this sports day is free of charge.
Day Two: Culture, Research, and Queer Joy at CREA
Two days later, on Thursday, June 11, the festival's focus will shift to arts and culture at the CREA cultural student centre on Roeterseiland. The evening programme is set to feature a diverse lineup, including musical performances by students, lectures by university researchers, and film screenings in partnership with TranScreen. The schedule also promises workshops and drag performances, creating a space that celebrates both queer artistic expression and intellectual contribution from within the UvA community.
