AMSTERDAM – As part of the city's WorldPride 2026 celebrations, local gallery raam art space will present "Fecund Ground," a group exhibition in collaboration with the influential Tom of Finland Foundation (ToFF) from Los Angeles. The exhibition is scheduled to run from July 24 to August 9, 2026.
The partnership connects a contemporary Amsterdam art space with one of the most significant global archives and platforms for queer art. Based in Los Angeles, the Tom of Finland Foundation has a long history of supporting artists who explore themes of sexuality, identity, and representation, notably through its respected Artist-in-Residence program.
"Fecund Ground" will feature works from artists associated with the ToFF Residency alongside a selection of Dutch artists. Through various mediums including painting, sculpture, textile, and installation, the exhibition will examine themes of queer visibility and lived experience. According to the gallery, the collection of works addresses both the fragility and the resilience of queer culture, presenting identity not as a fixed state but as something continuously shaped by experience and expression.
