For anyone who's picked up a copy, TRANS magazine is more than just paper and ink. It's a vibrant, necessary space in the Dutch queer landscape, a grassroots project created for and by our community. Run entirely by volunteers, it’s a platform that consistently champions trans voices and stories with creativity and care.
Now, the team is getting their hands dirty for their seventh edition, and the theme is pure, unadulterated fun: ☀️Playground☀️.
Think of it as a collective craft project. The theme isn't just a title; it's a mission. The magazine aims to be a scrapbook of trans joy, a colourful, messy, and unapologetic celebration of being yourself. In a world that often demands we be serious and resilient, 'Playground' is a deliberate act of resistance through joy, a tribute to the simple, profound happiness of authentic self-expression.
Your Handprint is Needed
Because TRANS magazine is a true community effort, it relies on community support to exist. To bring 'Playground' to life—to fill its pages with glitter, support all the contributing makers and artists, and get it printed—they need our help. Every donation is like adding a splash of paint, a sticker, or a tube of glue to this beautiful collective artwork.
They're asking us to dive into our craft boxes, see what we can spare, and help them make something wonderful. It’s a chance to leave our own mark on a project that gives so much back to the community.
If you have the means, consider chipping in. As they say, many paint-covered hands make for beautiful work.
You can support TRANS magazine's 'Playground' edition by donating to their GoFundMe campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/f/doneer-aan-trans-magazine
And of course, sharing the campaign with your friends is just as valuable. Let's help them build this playground.
