The Queer Pacific Collective (QPC) presents an interdisciplinary program, 'Kueer Lapis', bringing together storytelling, music, performance, and ceremony from queer Pacific perspectives. The evening is rooted in Melanesian, Micronesian, and Polynesian traditions and diaspora.
As part of WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 and the 75th anniversary of Moluccans in the Netherlands, QPC creates a space for encounter, visibility, and artistic exchange. The program brings together queer, trans, and gender-diverse creators who work on themes of identity, collective memory, spirituality, and oral traditions.
With contributions from Jermaine & Ghilaine (Tigah Batang Rumah) and Joe Emanuel, among others, an evening unfolds where performance, sound, and community take center stage. (Full program to be announced).
In addition to the main program, QPC will organize workshops, community sessions, and studio presentations in July and August 2026, in collaboration with MALIB (Maluku Library).
QPC invites the audience to become part of a living diasporic encounter where art, care, and connection come together.
