An Evening of Dance and Party 🎉

During World Pride Amsterdam 2026, the Sport Pride Foundation is organizing an unforgettable Latin Role Rotation Party with salsa and bachata. Guests are welcomed for an evening full of dance, music, and connection in the heart of Amsterdam.

The evening consists of two workshop blocks followed by an exuberant party. From 19:00 to 20:00, a salsa role rotation workshop is scheduled, led by Maria Puertas of Casino Revolution and Barbara of Queer Latin Night. Following this, from 20:00 to 21:00, there will be a bachata role rotation workshop from Synergy Dance Academy. After that, it's time to let loose: from 21:00 to midnight, DJ Chantal will be spinning the best Latin hits.

Role rotation is the switching of roles (leading/following) while dancing, regardless of gender.

Experience Level

Salsa: Some experience with Cuban salsa is required. Familiarity with 'Di le que non' and 'enchufla' in both roles is expected. If you are intermediate or higher in one role but new to the other, please watch some YouTube videos beforehand so we can focus on the role-switching moves during the workshop!
Bachata: Open level. It is helpful if you have already mastered the basic bachata step, so we can build on that.

Artists and Workshop Leaders

DJ Chantal will provide the musical backdrop for the party. The salsa workshop will be taught by Maria Puertas of Casino Revolution and Barbara of Queer Latin Night, both specializing in inclusive dance styles. The bachata workshop is led by Synergy Dance Academy.
