When the help of a violinist and his instrument is called upon, you know something special is about to follow. Romantic, emotional, or mysterious feelings are expressed…
In that important role, the violin transcends all music styles and can be heard in classical music, gypsy music, Argentine tango, film scores, and French chansons. A Violin Affair is an invitation to the listener to experience all this music in their own way. With the violin in the leading role (played by the versatile violinist Micha Molthoff), accompanied by piano and guitar, captivating and well-known sounds and themes from The Godfather resound, and you'll hear famous pieces by Bach, Brel, Barbara, Piazzolla, as well as virtuoso gypsy music.
Violinist Micha Molthoff began his career at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, performed in various productions of theater group Orkater, and worked with (inter)national artists such as Ute Lemper, Herman van Veen, and Toon Hermans. His music can be heard in various films and theater productions. A Violin Affair is his third solo program, following the successful tours of A Fiddler on His Route and Fifty Shades of Fiddle.
