Austra is the pop project of Canadian singer and composer Katie Stelmanis. The classically trained musician and opera lover writes sad lyrics about the humiliation of heartbreak, combined with euphoric, Eurodance-inspired synth melodies. Her brand new album 'Chin Up Buttercup' will be released on November 14, partly inspired by Madonna's 'Ray of Light' (1998). She will bring the result live to the OZ hall!
