The tango returns to Theater De Regentes! This time, in celebration of Pride Week The Hague. An evening to dance freely. An evening where everyone is welcome.

Come alone and make new connections or bring a dance partner. Everyone is welcome! Whether you're dancing for the first time or have more experience, this evening is suitable for all levels. Enjoy tango in an environment where you are free to lead, follow, or switch roles as you please.

Program

Beginner's Workshop (19:00 - 20:00)

Learn the basics of tango from Jan Willem and Danny, two experienced dancers from the queer tango scene. They will guide you in a safe and fun environment where you can discover your own style, experiment with leading and following roles, and enjoy the dance without pressure. A perfect opportunity to start moving to the tango and build confidence on the dance floor!

Tango Concert (20:15 - 21:45)

Robin El-Hage (piano) and Gustavo Cabrera (violin) are two performing musicians who graduated cum laude from the Rotterdam Conservatory. Together they form the R&G Tango Duo, which performs Argentine tangos in a unique, improvised way. With this duo, you will hear the full spectrum of Argentine folk music, from Carlos Gardel to Astor Piazzolla. Their playful interaction and infectious musicality are the key to their success.
