Be the Heart of Amsterdam's Premier Queer Film Celebration

Every March, the LGBTQ+ community in Amsterdam and beyond eagerly awaits the Roze Filmdagen (Pink Film Days). It's more than just a film festival; it's a vibrant celebration of queer stories, a hub for community connection, and a highlight of the cultural calendar. Now, you have the chance to be at the very center of it all.

The festival organizers are officially looking for a team of passionate and dedicated volunteers to help bring the 2026 edition to life. This is a unique opportunity to support a vital community event, meet fellow film lovers, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how the magic happens.

Volunteer Role at a Glance

  • When: During the festival period, from March 18th to March 29th, 2026.
  • Where: The festival's home base, Het Ketelhuis in Amsterdam.
  • Commitment: A minimum of 5 shifts during the festival.
  • Who they're looking for: Flexible, enthusiastic, and hospitable team players.

What Will You Be Doing?

As a volunteer, you'll be the friendly and welcoming face of the Roze Filmdagen. Your role will be dynamic, involving a range of essential tasks that keep the festival running smoothly. You can expect to be involved in:

  • Assisting with general festival operations at Het Ketelhuis.
  • Welcoming and guiding guests, filmmakers, and other visitors.
  • Providing information about film screenings, events, and talk shows.
  • Helping to create a warm and inclusive atmosphere for everyone.

It's a hands-on role perfect for those who love interacting with people and are passionate about queer cinema.

Ready to Join the Team?

If you're excited by the prospect of contributing to one of the Netherlands' most beloved LGBTQ+ community events, the team wants to hear from you. To apply, simply send an email introducing yourself to:

Can't Wait Until 2026?

If March feels too far away, you can still get your dose of queer cinema. Don't forget to check out the Roze Filmdagen Monthly Special screenings, held on the first Tuesday of every month at Het Ketelhuis. It's the perfect way to stay connected and discover fantastic films all year round.
