Why do we fall for danger? What is it that makes someone destructive also attractive to us? And what does that say about how we love?

In HIT ME, Just van Bommel explores the thin, explosive line between attraction and violence. It's like an erotic boxing match where the body is pushed to its limits. Where a headlock might almost make you pass out, but could just as easily end in a kiss. Where pain and pleasure merge, and desire brushes up against destruction. Just delves into the paradox of our desires; raw, confrontational, and uncomfortably close.

About Just van Bommel

Just (they/she/he) uses personal and everyday events as a starting point to investigate larger societal questions. They graduated in 2022 as a performer from the Maastricht Theatre Academy. Since 2022, Just has been affiliated with Frascati Producties, where they created A divine aversion to DYING, Het Spektakeltje, and DEAR FRAIL MALE (nominated for the BNG Bank Theater Prize). In the 25-26 season, they will perform in Pride & Prejudice (Theater Oostpool, directed by Florian Myjer).
