In this compelling solo, Florian Myjer plays an actor confronted with his past. When, just before the premiere of Hamlet, the star director of the play is accused of transgressive behavior, the lead actor is left alone in the theater and begins a search for answers.

Was he also a victim of this director, with whom he has worked for a long time? Can he feel empathy for him? Should he speak out? In his vulnerable search, he stumbles upon long-suppressed memories and the suffocating mechanisms of the patriarchy. As he delves into his own history without mercy, we, the audience, witness the rebirth of someone long oppressed, who finally finds their own voice. The Actor promises to be a thrilling, moving, and hopeful story, in which Florian Myjer tackles one of the most pressing issues of our time head-on.

About Florian Myjer

Florian Myjer (1992) is a theater maker and actor. He creates Art with a capital A for a broad audience, based on personal themes and experiences that are the key to classics from the world literature and theater canon. Since 2024, Florian has been part of the artistic team at Theater Oostpool. He will also create performances through his newly founded company, Oh Deer.
