American stand-up comedian Matteo Lane performs at the Royal Theater Carré with his new show, WE GOTTA CATCH UP!
Originally from Chicago, Matteo Lane is a multi-talented artist known for his unique blend of stand-up comedy, musicality, and artistic versatility. Lane's comedy career began in the clubs of New York City, but he now sells out venues worldwide, including prestigious stages like Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center.
His comedy covers a wide range of topics, from hilarious observations about daily life to his experiences as an openly gay man. Variety named him one of the “10 Comics to Watch,” and Advocate described him as “bold and unabashedly candid.” His specials, Hair Plugs & Heartache and the fan-favorite The Advice Special, have attracted millions of viewers.
Matteo is also a man of many talents. He has appeared in the Amazon Original film Upgraded, the Netflix series Survival of the Thickest, the feature film Molli & Max in the Future, and the all-queer Netflix stand-up special Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution. Before his comedy career, he lived in Italy, where he worked as an oil painter and a classically trained opera singer.
