Searows is the intimate, emotional indie-folk project of singer-songwriter and guitarist Alec Duckart. As a trans man, his music resonates deeply with the queer/trans experience, with a vibe similar to artists like Phoebe Bridgers or Sufjan Stevens.
He will release his new album 'Death in the Business of Whaling' on January 23, 2026.
When the time came to record the ideas for his new record, Searows settled in a converted horse stable. He collaborated with co-producer Trevor Spencer (Father John Misty, Beach House, Mary Lattimore) to broaden his creative vision. This led Searows to become interested in writing songs that were more like folklore.
