Have you always wanted to try drag? Or are you curious about how you could use it to explore identity and gender?

House of Salvia, in collaboration with COC Tilburg-Breda e.o., is organizing a full day of drag workshops in Breda! You get to choose which workshops you want to attend, selecting one for the morning and one for the afternoon to tailor your learning experience. The workshops are led by the members of House of Salvia.

Identity Workshop

Discover your own drag persona! Together, we will explore what drag means, its different forms, and what you would like to investigate with drag. You'll get the chance to think about your own unique alter ego and how you want to express yourself through various creative assignments. In an open and safe setting, we will discuss what you want to project and what you'd like to explore further. We encourage you to see drag as a powerful art form and a means of sharing stories. Get inspired and get creative with your own drag!

Makeup Workshop

Makeup is, of course, an essential part of drag. Drag makeup primarily requires a lot of practice, and during this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to get started under the guidance of experienced drag artists. By practicing makeup techniques, you can build a solid foundation and gain enough confidence to experiment further. Whether you're a beginner or already have some experience, this workshop will give you the tools to take your drag makeup to the next level!

Performance Workshop

For many drag artists, the performance is the most important part. In this workshop, you will learn more about performing in drag. You'll start with theater exercises and receive valuable tips on how to create an unforgettable drag performance. The workshop concludes with an open stage, where you can present your act to the group and the workshop leaders. If you wish, you can also receive feedback to further perfect your performance. This is your chance to shine and take your performance skills to the next level!
